For a 4x4 Brother (SE700, SE725, SE630, PE545), get Brother's own SAMFM100 magnetic hoop, the one hoop whose maker lists those machines on its own product page. For a 5x7 PE900 or SE2000, the Sew Tech 5x7 magnetic hoop names both machines and sold 200+ in the past month. Before anything else, match the hoop to your machine's field. A hoop can look right and still not clip onto your arm.

How we picked these hoops
On October 3, 2026 we pulled Amazon's search results for magnetic hoops for Brother machines, along with the SE700/SE725 results, then fetched each candidate's listing. A hoop made the list only if its listing names the machine we recommend it for. Brand or size alone wasn't enough. Machine fields and status come from Brother's own product pages, checked the same day. The fit for Brother's own hoop comes from both Brother's accessory page and the Amazon listing.
Two things knocked hoops out. Some carried a "for Brother" title but a compatibility list made up entirely of NQ, Innov-is and Baby Lock models. One was titled as a magnetic set but listed plastic hoops with a tightening screw in its specs. More on both below.
This is a spec review. We compared listings, Brother's pages and the makers' own warnings; we didn't stitch with these hoops. How we research.
Fit first: your machine's field decides
Every Brother home embroidery machine has a fixed maximum field. Brother's pages list 4 x 4 inches for the SE700, SE725, SE630 and PE545 (and the discontinued SE600, SE625 and PE535), and 5 x 7 inches for the PE900 and SE2000 (and the discontinued PE800, PE770 and SE1900). A magnetic hoop doesn't change that limit. It only changes how the fabric is held.
| Machine | Brother status (Oct 3, 2026) | Field | Magnetic hoops whose listing names it |

The best magnetic hoops for Brother
For 4x4 machines (SE700, SE725, SE630, PE545)
Brother SAMFM100 4x4 Magnetic Hoop
This is the safe buy. Brother's accessory page and the Amazon listing carry the same compatibility list, and it covers every current 4x4 SE and PE machine plus the discontinued SE600, SE625 and PE535. No other hoop here has the machine maker vouching for the fit.
The limit is thickness. Brother says it holds materials up to 2 mm, which covers a sweatshirt or a towel but not a quilted jacket. It also has only 7 Amazon ratings so far (3.9 average), a small sample, so read the newest reviews before you buy.
- Field4 x 4 in
- Max material2 mm thick
- MakerBrother (genuine accessory)
- Materialmetal and plastic
- Named machines includeSE700, SE725, SE630, PE545, SE600, SE625, PE535
Why it stands out
- The only hoop whose fit Brother itself confirms
- Covers current and discontinued 4x4 SE/PE models
Think twice if
- Your project is thicker than 2 mm
- You want several sizes, since it is a single 4x4 hoop
MagnaHoop Magnetic Hoop Set for SE700, PE545, SE600, PE535, SE725
With 225 ratings at 4.6, this set has far more owner feedback than any other magnetic hoop for the 4x4 SE/PE machines. The listing describes long bar magnets over a metal bottom frame with a soft coating that's meant to stop scratches and slipping. You can lift one magnet to straighten the fabric and drop it back without unhooping.
One honest gap: the bullet points don't spell out the three sizes in the set. Check the photos on the listing before ordering, and make sure each frame is within your machine's 4 x 4 inch field or is a multi-position size your machine accepts.
- Fit named in listing titleSE700, PE545, SE600, PE535, SE725
- Framesolid metal with soft coating
- Magnetslong bar
- Set3-in-1 (sizes per listing photos)
Why it stands out
- Most owner ratings in this group
- Bar magnets lift individually for quick adjustments
Think twice if
- You want the sizes confirmed in writing, not from photos
Open the MagnaHoop listing to see photos of the three frames in the set side by side
HONEYSEW 4x4 Magnetic Hoop
HONEYSEW's listing repeats Brother's compatibility list almost word for word, SE700, SE725 and PE545 included, and gives the same 2 mm thickness limit. It also suggests the method magnetic hoops are good at: lift the magnets and slide the fabric along to stitch one design after another.
It has only 10 ratings (4.0), so it's the alternative if Brother's hoop is out of stock rather than the first pick.
- Field4 x 4 in
- Max material2 mm thick
- Named machines includeSE700, SE725, PE545, SE630, SE600, SE625, PE535
- Size6.5 x 6.5 in outside
Why it stands out
- Same named fit as Brother's SAMFM100
- Reposition the fabric for repeat designs without rehooping
Think twice if
- You want a long owner track record (10 ratings so far)

For 5x7 machines (PE900, SE2000)
Sew Tech 5x7 Magnetic Hoop (SA444)
Sew Tech's 5x7 is the best seller among the 5x7 magnetic hoops in our search, at 200+ bought in the past month. Its listing names the PE900 and SE2000 along with the discontinued PE800, SE1900 and PE770, and the box includes ten magnets and a grid template for centering.
Sew Tech makes the most popular plastic hoop sets for these machines too, so if you already own their 4-hoop set, this matches the same attachment.
- Field5 x 7 in (130 x 180 mm)
- AttachmentSA444
- In the boxhoop, grid, 10 magnets
- Named machines includePE900, PE800, SE2000, SE1900, PE770
Why it stands out
- Names both current 5x7 Brother machines
- Ten magnets and a centering grid included
Think twice if
- You own a 4x4 machine: it won't fit
Maggiehoop 5x7 Magnetic Hoop (SA444M)
Rated 4.8 from 32 owners, this one has the best average of the 5x7 hoops, on a smaller sample. The compatibility list matches Sew Tech's on the Brother models that matter here. It comes with eight magnets instead of ten. The listing pitches it for logos and quilt blocks, which is the right job for a 5x7 field.
- Field5 x 7 in (130 x 180 mm)
- Framemetal
- In the boxhoop, grid template, 8 magnets
- Named machines includePE900, PE800, SE2000, SE1900, PE770
Why it stands out
- Best average rating among 5x7 options
- Metal frame with grid template
Think twice if
- You want the bigger seller with more magnets (Sew Tech)
MagnaHoop Magnetic Hoop Set for PE900, PE800, SE2000, SE1900, PE770
If you want more than one magnetic size for a PE900 or SE2000, this set has 127 ratings at 4.4. As with MagnaHoop's 4x4 set, the bullets describe the magnets and coating but not the individual sizes, so confirm them in the photos.
- Fit named in listing titlePE900, PE800, SE2000, SE1900, PE770
- Framesolid metal with soft coating
- Set4-in-1 (sizes per listing photos)
Why it stands out
- Several frames in one purchase
- Same lift-a-magnet adjustment as the 4x4 set
Think twice if
- You only need a single 5x7 hoop

Hoops that look right but don't fit SE or PE machines
Search "magnetic hoop for Brother" and a 4x4 or 6x10 Sew Tech hoop with thousands of ratings shows up near the top. Read the compatibility line. The Sew Tech 4x4 magnetic hoop (SA438 bar) and the 6x10 SA441 version list NQ, Innov-is, Stellaire and Luminaire machines and Baby Lock models. They don't list a single SE or PE machine. Brother's own SA438 and SA441 pages say the same thing: those are slide-on hoops for the larger machines.
The other trap is the title. One "magnetic hoop set" listing for the SE700 describes plastic hoops with an adjustable metal screw in its specs, which is a regular hoop. If the bullets mention a tightening screw and no magnets, it isn't magnetic.
Brother also sells a 3 x 3 inch magnetic hoop (SAMFP70) on Amazon, but the listing gives no compatibility list, so we can't tell you which machines take it. And Brother's PE900 and SE2000 pages mention compatibility with a Brother 4 x 7 inch magnetic hoop, sold separately. We couldn't find that part number on brother-usa.com on October 3, so ask a Brother dealer for it by name.
When a magnetic hoop isn't worth it
A magnetic hoop solves three problems: fabric too thick to push an inner ring into, fabric that shows hoop burn, and repeat designs where you'd rather slide the fabric than rehoop. If none of those apply, the plastic hoop that came with your machine is fine.
Skip it if you mostly stitch quilting cotton, tea towels or T-shirts, which all hoop well the normal way. Don't count on one for very thick items either. Brother and HONEYSEW both put the 4x4 limit at 2 mm of material. A puffer jacket or a stack of quilt layers is beyond that, so float it on hooped stabilizer instead (our stabilizer guide explains how).
Caps are a separate question. SE and PE machines don't take a cap frame. If hats are the goal, read the best embroidery machine for hats and shirts first.
Magnet safety
The hoop listings above don't print safety warnings, so here is what a magnetic hoop maker does say. Hoopmaster's safety notice for its Mighty Hoops says fingers can get "severely pinched" between two attracting hoops or items. Children shouldn't handle the hoops or their neodymium magnets, and swallowing magnets is very hazardous. Anyone with a pacemaker, defibrillator or other medical device should use caution around strong magnets. Hoopmaster also says to keep magnetic hoops at least 24 inches from magnetic media such as credit cards and hard drives.
In practice: set each magnet down from the side rather than letting it snap, store the hoop away from phones and cards, and keep spare magnets out of reach of kids.
Which one to buy
On an SE700, SE725, SE630 or PE545, buy Brother's SAMFM100 and you won't have to wonder about fit. Want more sizes and more owner feedback? The MagnaHoop set is the alternative, once you've checked the sizes in the photos.
On a PE900 or SE2000, the Sew Tech 5x7 is the default, and the Maggiehoop 5x7 is the better-rated runner-up. Then print our machine embroidery cheat sheet so the stabilizer under that hoop is right too. Hoop terms like field and multi-position are explained in embroidery hoop sizes explained.
